AMENDMENT 0001 THE RESONSE DUE DATE FOR REQUEST FOR QUOTATION 36C25624Q0372 IS EXTENDED TO 02-20-2024 AT 10:00 AM CST. SOLICITATION NOTICE The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) has a requirement for the maintenance and repair of janitorial equipment for the facility located in Houston, TX. The contractor shall provide all parts, labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to provide preventive maintenance and repair services on janitorial equipment.

Services shall include those necessary to maintain and repair various pieces of janitorial equipment necessary to maintain a sanitary, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment to patients and staff. Equipment must comply with all applicable codes and manufacturers’ recommended specifications for safe operation. This requirement is unrestricted under NAICS code 811310, with a small business size standard of $12,500,000.

All interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov, as of the date of award. Award WILL NOT be delayed to allow for registration. All quotes from responsible parties shall be considered by the agency if determined timely and responsive.

Interested parties should submit all questions regarding this solicitation in writing, by email, to james.hunt2@va.gov to be received no later than 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 1, 2024. Questions submitted after this date may not be answered. Pertinent questions will be answered by amendment to this solicitation to be issued on or about February 8, 2024. ALL quotes MUST include the following information to be considered for award. Failure to submit this information may cause a quote to be determined nonresponsive.

Services include providing preventive maintenance and repair of various pieces of janitorial equipment used to maintain a sanitary, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment to patients and staff.

Equipment must comply with all applicable codes and manufacturers recommended specifications for safe operation. The contract is expected to be firm, fixed-price for one 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. This is a pre-solicitation notice only. Interested parties should watch for the issuance of the solicitation and associated documents on or about January 18, 2024, which will contain the specific instructions and work requirements.
