## Description

Statement of Work Medivator Endoscope Reprocessing System Advantage Plus Introduction: The purpose of this document is to provide a statement of work (SOW), for the purchase of the medivator endoscope reprocessing system advantage plus for use when reprocessing endoscopes for endoscopy procedures.

VA Directive 1116 Management Of Critical And Semi-Critical Reuseable Medical Devices requires that facilities ensure that all semi-critical reuseable medical devices used for invasive procedures must have equipment available that meets the reprocessing guidelines as outlined by the manufacturer’s instruction for use. This purchase will be for Sterile Processing Services of Network 15, KCVA Station #589. Use of equipment: The equipment requested will be used by the Sterile Process Department staff for processing and safe handling of endoscopes.

**Requirements:** Sterile Processing Services (SPS) needs the following medivator endoscope reprocessing system advantage plus meet the requirements set forth by VA Directive 1116 Management of Critical and Semi-Critical Reuseable Medical Devices and to adhere to the facility policies for standardized equipment to ensure compatibility for other existing equipment utilized in both SPS and Procedural Departments, as well as staff competency for all equipment used by procedural staff and processed by SPS.

ANSI/AAMI ST91-2021 recommends use of automatic endoscope reprocessor equipment design to deliver the high-level disinfection solution to all parts of the endoscope to achieve effective disinfection. This requires a time exposure period and rinsing of the endoscope surfaces and internal channels with water after disinfection. The medivator endoscope reprocessing system advantage plus provides this capability.

**Specifications:** The medivator endoscope reprocessing facilitates system advantage plus is compatible with all flexible endoscope, validated for reprocessing tee probe cystoscope and semi- critical rigid scopes, ensures all channels are fully reprocessed, minimizes leak related repair costs, facilities drying endoscope channels, network multiple systems together for easy administration and reporting, and connects to local or off site server for centralized data collection and convenient backups.
