Please clarify whether the Government would accept an alternative model that performs the same function in lieu of the side mounted hoist operator specified in the PWS, and whether the manual hoist feature is a mandatory requirement. A1: A manual hoist is not necessary provided that a disconnect bracket or lever is available to restore or enable manual disengagement of the operator in the event of a power failure or emergency. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
