Solicitation: 36C25226B0012 Project: 578-26-006: Repair Building 1 Steam and Condensate Risers-Phase 2 (CON) Location: Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital 5000 South 5th Avenue Hines, IL 60141-3030 The Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital has a requirement to replace existing radiators, install new steam and condensate risers and connect them to existing steam lines, steam traps, and new radiators. Cap and seal old steam and condensate risers. Install new insulation on the steam and condensate risers and connect lines to existing steam traps and radiators. Work includes all labor, management, equipment, materials, general construction, alterations, necessary removal and replacement of radiators, install new steam and condensate risers, connect condensate risers to existing steam lines, steam traps and new radiators. The work also includes cap and seal old steam and condensate risers, install new insulation on the steam and condensate risers and connect lines to existing steam traps and radiators, all electrical work, controls integration, and ducting, landscaping and floor repairs as necessary to do the work at various locations in Building Perform all work within a confined space not readily accessible to maintenance staff. Contractor shall Furnish all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, tools, supervision, management, and all other necessary resources required for Project #578-26-006 Repair Building 1 Steam and Condensate Risers-Phase 2 (CON) as required by the drawings and specifications. The Period of Performance is Four Hundred Eighty (480) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The NTP shall be issued approximately 14 calendar days after award once required payment and performance bonds and certificate of insurance is provided. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on www.SAM.gov. There will be a pre-bid conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid conference will be included in the solicitation package. Pursuant to Public Law 109-461, this solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(DEVIATION) (b), at the time of submission of bids, and at the time of award of any contract, the offeror must represent to the CO that it is a (1) SDVOSB eligible under VAAR Subpart 819.70; (2) Small business concern under the NAICS code assigned to this acquisition; and (3) Certified SDVOSB listed in the SBA certification database at https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/ (see 13 CFR 128).
