Therefore, this is a notice of intent issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs to negotiate a limited source contract with Melling Medical for Maintenance/warranty on the Lumenis Pule 120H Laser. This laser is used during medical procedures for veterans in the surgery department. The OEM Boston Scientific has identified Melling Medical as the only authorized distributor for the Lumenis brand. The proposed action is IAW FAR 13.106-1(b) Single Source Awards. Information received in response to this special notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to not compete the proposed acquisition is wholly within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for paying on any costs incurred and/or associated with the development of any responses submitted to this notice.
