DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION March 17th, 2025 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE-SOURCE Immunofluorescence Microscope 36C25025Q0397 The Department of Veterans Affairs, John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, VISN 10 Contracting Activity, intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, for the following items listed below.

The associated NAICS code for this equipment is 334516. The vendor, Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC, is an Other Than Small Business entity, and is located at One North Broadway, White Plains 10601-2310. Description of equipment requirements: Immunofluorescence Microscope. Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC is the only manufacturer that can provide the microscope (and accompanying add-ons) that can meet the requirements of the JDDVAMC s Research Department. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated and shall be awarded.

It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the capability to successfully meet this requirement.
