Intends to negotiate Sole Source for 22 Cataract Tray Instruments with Summit Medical LLC IAW FAR Part 13 procedures. The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System requires an order for 22 Cataract Tray Instruments.

**Part Number:** IN-2020-6164 Qty: 22 The associated NAICS code is 339112 the vendor will be Summit Medical LLC 815 Vikings Pkwy Suite 100 Eagan, MN 55121. Cataract Trays are intended to be used to prevent and eliminate damage to medical surgical instruments that are delicate. The trays will allow for the instruments to be stored properly. The trays will be used for procedures and scheduled services and will aid medical personnel in administering proper care to Veterans during their cataract services.

Market research was conducted and OEM, InstruSafe, confirmed that Summit Medical LLC. is the only distributor of their Cataract Instrument Trays. A firm-fixed-price contract is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.

It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
