## Description

In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will satisfy agency requirements. The Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center Located in Indianapolis, IN intends to negotiate a Sole Source Award with GE Medical Systems Information Technologies, Inc. They are located at 9900 W Innovation Dr. Wauwatosa, WI 53226. GE shall provide preventive maintenance and repairs for the GE Muse AssurePoint equipment.

The GE Muse AssurePoint equipment contains a proprietary design, therefore another firm would not be familiar with the rationale of the design; not be able to accurately address Request for Information (RFI s); or accurately maintain this equipment, which is critical for proper patient care, as well as a sound product. NAICS code for this procurement is 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. NAICS standard size is:

$34 Million The Product/Service Code (PSC): J065 Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies. This non-competitive award is implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2), as it is the only contractor that meets the suitability criteria as listed in the Statement of Work (SOW). The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under FAR Parts 12, and 13. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

All information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
