If the SAVAHCS were to switch to another brand of computerized supply cabinets, it would greatly increase the complexity of operation and maintenance of the database and system because it would require VA to maintain two different computerized supply cabinets integrated into the local Pharmacy. In addition, a different brand of computerized storage cabinets would greatly risk increase in training costs and increase in operating costs relating to support, servicing, and maintenance.
