## Description

Pre-Solicitation notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract for one (1) year with its academic affiliate Harvard College President & Fellows, 677 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02115 for research services to support the mission of the Genomes2Veterans Research Program (G2V) for the VA Boston Healthcare System Research Office.

This research support will enhance VA healthcare delivery by promoting VA-based genomic medicine research. The program achieves this mission through populated studies and clinical trials that inform the implementation of genetic and genomic medicine interventions in Veteran healthcare.

Due to the affiliate relationship with the VA Boston Healthcare System, as well as their specialized expertise in methodology for genomic medicine research, specifically, G2V seeks contracting of Genomic Medicine Clinician Consultant, Genomic Laboratory Medicine Consultant, Genomic Medicine Research Project Manager, and Genomic Medicine Research Project Coordinator.

These researchers shall provide expert consultation on genomic medicine research and practice to support the genomic medicine research activities of the Genomes2Veterans Research Program. Harvard is the only facility that can provide the specialized research services required to improve the decision-making process within the VA that leads to the improvement of healthcare of VA population. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (FBO).

The applicable NAICS code is 621511 with a $41.5 MIL size standard. The PSC is Q301. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
