General Description: The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 8, VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS) has a requirement to improve physical security at the VACHS campus for an efficient security control center (SCC) and Police operations. These upgrades will completely upgrade the existing cameras with a new Video Assessment Surveillance System (VASS). The VASS will provide for more surveillance coverage, improve monitoring software, and incorporate modern analytics surveillance tools. The analytics program will include license plate readers, facial recognition cameras, and visual/audible alarm notification tied into the SCC monitoring section. All site cameras will include a battery backup in case of power failure. The contractor shall complete the work required within 1,095 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP) in accordance with the construction drawings and specifications prepared by an independent Architect-Engineer firm.
