## Description

**Behavioral Health Beds GENERAL:** James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH) Mental Health Acute Residential Care (ARC) Located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd Tampa, Florida 33612, has a requirement for Behavioral Health Bed. These beds are used to support bariatric patients during inpatient stay BACKGROUND: The JAHVH Tampa Mental Health Acute Residential Care (ARC) has a requirement for exam/treatment beds.

**PURPOSE:** Beds are used to support patients during examination. It is crucial equipment for delivering patient care for the Tampa Mental Health and Domiciliary clinic.

**SCOPE:** JAHVH Tampa Mental Health is requesting Agiliti / Sizewise brand name or equal exam/treatment beds to be installed throughout the Acute Residential Care (ARC) Unit. The scope includes delivery, installation, and training for staff on the proper use and maintenance of the new beds.

**PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:** Equipment must have physical characteristics to enable the government to perform the capabilities: Fully electric bed frame designed in collaboration with behavioral health clinicians to meet the needs of dual-diagnosis patients. The bed ensures patient safety by using tamper-resistant fasteners on all electrical parts and lockout controls accessible with a universal key. An anchor point allows the bed to be secured to the floor.
