D.M.I. is the OEM and the only Authorized Seller of the Histocut Microtomes in Puerto Rico. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 334516 with a business size standard of 1,000 Employees and PSC 6640. The proposed contract is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This is a notice of intent to award a single-source procurement action and is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation package is available. Firms who want to challenge the single source must show clear and convincing evidence of their capability to provide the supplies, and that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
