## Description

An onsite training of one-day program on “Hands-on Orthotics Course” for a total of twelve (12) therapists. The tentative training will take place on August 2nd, 2025, at Birmingham VA Medical Center. This course presenter will provide all necessary orthotics materials. Practical(lab) material provided will be anti-claw, mallet, trigger finger, forearm based ulnar gutter, forearm-based thumb spica, static progressive PIP flexion, and static progressive wrist extension.

In training participants will be able to demonstrate ability to fabricate custom orthoses, in indications contraindications of the orthoses and learn of practical applications of orthoses. Upon completion of the training, each attendee will get a certificate of 8 CE hours (0.8 CEUs).
