Skills and services required are: repairing uniforms, hemming, lengthening pants, sewing buttons, applying patches, etc. Performing appropriate repairs to linen items, Making alterations and repairs to government owned uniforms (replacing buttons, zippers; lengthening, shortening pants, etc.) and patient clothing. Issuing government-owned uniforms from computer-generated work orders. Advising Textile Care Supervisors of uniforms that need to be ordered. Inspecting clean linen that has been placed in FWT (fair, wear, and tear) cart for items that can be repaired or discarded to be recycled. Preparing FWT carts for transportation back to Textile Care Plant (Laundry). Inventory control of government owned uniforms. Preparing FWT reports monthly for Laundry Plant Manager.
