## Description

**Requirements:** The contractor shall be required to provide the following services: Radiopharmaceutical orders are to be placed to the vendor only by authorized Nuclear Medicine Technologists. Radiopharmaceutical orders are to be delivered in unit dose form only. Deliveries are to be made FOB destination (No charge for routine delivery). The Nuclear Medicine Service may cancel ordered doses within a ten (10) verbal or written time frame to the vendor.

Unopened and unused Tc99m unit dose radiopharmaceuticals will be returned to the contractor by the Nuclear Medicine service for credit reimbursement. All orders must be in total compliance with the State of Georgia and/or Federal regulations regarding radioactive material. All shipping containers must be free of radioactive contamination both inside and outside. The vendor must supply with each shipment/order/delivery a system for spent (used) syringes, that meets OSHA’s Bio-Hazard Policy/Regulations.

In case of emergency, the vendor will be required to make deliveries within 2.5 hours, (excluding weekends and Federal Holidays) as required by Carl Vinson VAMC Nuclear Medicine service personnel. Cold (non-radioactive) radiopharmaceutical vials shall be returned to vendor for credit or replacement if expiration date is exceeded on vial. Payment should be made monthly in arrears.
