## Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Charles George VA Medical Center requires emergency laundry and linen services. NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY will provide all transportation, material hardware and parts, tools, specialized equipment, labor, supervision, and technical expertise to provide the laundry requirement located at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. Based on Market Research analysis, NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, is the incumbent for the required services.

Utilizing a different vendor would result in a substantial duplication of costs for the government that will not be fair and reasonable. The cost of service is fair and reasonable and is in line with the Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all expressions of interest received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.

Interested contractors may identify their capability to provide the services prescribed within this notice and should provide sufficient data for the government to determine them as a comparable alternative to the intended source. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.

Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition will be under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 13.106-1 (b). Expressions of interest should be sent via email to Harold McQuillia at harold.mcquillia@va.gov.
