Q&A | Boiler Repair Q: The new door in the SOW is wider than existing, is this intentional meaning that we need to demolition wider opening?

**A:** The door is the same size as what is on the boiler now (Reference the SOW equipment listing).

**Q:** What type of material should we use for the rope gasket?

**A:** A High Temp Fire Rated rope gaskets made for this application.

**Q:** The existing work area is covered in thick black matte paint. Is this lead-free paint?

**A:** This is lead-free paint.

**Q:** What type of material is this and do we need to match it on our repairs?

**A:** This is a high temperature paint, please match as closely as possible.

**Q:** Can a certified engineer with 10 years experience be substituted for the 10-year fire protection engineer A:

**CERTIFICATIONS:** Contractor must provide a certified Engineer that must be certified through a formalized training program, with a verified Certificate to perform preventative and remedial maintenance on the Boiler. Contractor must provide an Engineer who must be OSHA-10 certified and comply with the Federal Guidelines.

**TRAINING:** A minimum of 10 hours of training is required
