Additionally, this PWS includes, at section# 7, for instruction regarding the Annual Surgical Instrument Tray(s) Maintenance and Inspection. Preventive Maintenance (PM)/ Scheduled repairs, refurbishment and assessment for replacement shall include but is not limited to all specialty trays and instruments by Service (Ortho, ENT, Vascular, General Surgery, etc.) scissors, needle holders, curettes, hemostats, graspers, laparoscopic instruments, surgical knifes, etc. Replacements must be made available while on location and at the time of repair for the ones that are being shipped out. These services are periodic in nature and are required to maintain the equipment in such a condition that it may be operated in accordance with its intended manufacturer's design and functional capacity with minimal incidence of malfunction or inoperative conditions.
