These bikes will be used to open a new recreational innovative adaptive biking program working on physical endurance, stability, sitting tolerance, injury recovery, etc. to increase mobility, therapy, exercise, socialization with others and veteran’s self-esteem. General Requirements: The characteristics set forth in this proposal are the minimum performance characteristics and should not be construed as limiting the overall quality, quantity, or performance of the instrument. The offerer is required to meet or exceed the minimum characteristics and will need to provide adequate documents to illustrate the performance capabilities of the offered products. Instrument requirements: Bike #1: Three-wheel, recumbent bicycle for trail use Foldable frame Foot pedaled Low center of gravity for stability Weight capacity up to 400 lbs Responsive steering and handling Similar the Catrike Trail recumbent bicycle for reference Bike #2 Three-wheel, upright bicycle for trail use Hand pedaled Sliding adjustable seat for easy transfer and fittings to accommodate the maximum number of Veteran riders.
