**NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE:** The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East (RPOE), Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO 4) intends to award a sole source contract to EMS Acquisition Corps. The University of Pittsburgh and the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System require a Neo Linear Slicer from Electron Microscopy Sciences (EMS) for the VA Human Engineering Research Laboratories. This Neo Linear Slicer is capable of producing much thinner slices of live tissues, which will benefit the Nyunoya labs and other researchers in conducting their scientific studies.
