## Description

RFQ 36C24226Q0290 Amendment 0001 Questions received from potential quoters, as well as answers provided.

**Question 1:** In regards to Section VI. 3) Offsite Services: Do you want a yearly budget amount for offsite repairs of extensive instrumentation which would include repairs of arthroscopic/laparoscopic rebuilds, bipolar forceps, and instrument extensives AND also the equipment listed such as power, cables, scopes?

**Answer:** No, offsite repairs are only sent out if we decide to do so.

**Question 2:** If the request is for offsite power, cable and scope repair, can you provide a rough estimate of how many repairs per product line that you had in the 3 months?

**Answer:** 1-3 repairs Question 3:

**Case Cart Details:** Section E page 5 references case cart repair services. To ensure accurate pricing, could the Government please provide: a.) What is the manufacturer/brand of the case carts? b.) What is the total number of units anticipated to be serviced annually? Â Answer: a.) Pedigo, Suburban Surgical, and Case Medical case carts. b.) Estimated 10-12 and servicing is done as needed.

**Question 4:** For CLIN 0003 (Off Site Surgical Equipment Repair), repair costs vary widely depending on instrument type basic laparoscopic repairs may be a few hundred dollars, while scope repairs can be several thousand. To ensure correct pricing, please clarify whether the Government expects: a single fixed unit price for all off site repairs, regardless of instrument/ device type, a $0.00 CLIN entry with an attached tiered rate table (Minor/Moderate/Major NTE), or a pricing range (lowest highest) listed directly in CLIN 0003?

**Answer:** CLINs 0003, 1003, 2003, 3003, and 4003 are $0 line items as this service will be as needed. Any repairs outside of the SOW will require an awarded contract modification if determined necessary by the CO.Â Contractors can provide separate tiered pricing for reference with their solicitation quote package.

**Question 5:**

**Loaner Equipment Expectations:** The SOW states: Loaner equipment must be available while instruments are being repaired off-site. : a.) Are scopes included in loaner expectations? b.) What about power equipment? c.) Will the Government require the Contractor to provide loaner handheld stainless steel instruments (such as scissors, needle holders, and forceps) while those items are undergoing repair at the national repair depot? d.) Would the absence of such general instrument loaners render an offer noncompliant or ineligible for award?

**Answer:** a.) No loaners are needed for general instruments. It is all based on repair costs.; b.) Usually loaners are provided by the vendor for power equipment.; c.) No; d.) No
