The system will provide filtered, potable water for critical activities such as drinking, food preparation, dialysis, bathing, and general medical support during emergencies. The using service reviewed several water filtration systems but only the HCF-1 system from First Water had the required certifications and met the VA Healthcare performance and safety standards. Emergency Water Solutions is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and sole distributor of this equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 221310 Water Supply and Irrigation Systems. The Product Service Code is 4610 Water Purification Equipment. While this synopsis DOES NOT constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government understands that Emergency Water Solutions, LLC, is the only vendor that can provide the required HCF-1 water filtration system.
