This Notice of Intent is for a proposed award of a sole source firm fixed price contract to the following contractor for Radiation Survey Services for LINAC at the East Orange VA Medical Center 385 Tremont Ave. East Orange, NJ 07018-1023: Elekta 400 Perimeter Center Terrace Suite 50 Atlanta, GA 30346 USA This is done under authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1: Only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Market research revealed that Elekta is the only vendor who can provide the scope of work as they are the OEM of the Elekta Linear Accelerator (LINAC) currently utilized at the East Orange VAMC. The intent of this scope of work is for a one time service for acceptance tests (CAT), radiation site survey for shielding evaluation, and commissioning services to meet the requirements of an Elekta Linear Accelerator (LINAC) go-live and subsequently patient care activation for patient treatments at the Radiation Oncology clinical service. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements above, may give written notification prior to the response due date and time.
