## Description

**NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE:** Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Optum Pharmacy for provide chemotherapy to NJ VAMC as part of our contingency plans while we are unable to compound hazardous medications locally for one base year with the provision of four (4) option years.

**Specific Deliverables:** Contractor shall provide shipping in accordance with manufacturers requirements for drug stability and refrigeration. The packaging will have all required labeling to identify the contents of the packages as hazardous. Contractor shall deliver the final product to the East Orange facility no later than 10:30am the day of treatment. Contractor shall comply with USP 797 and USP 800 regulations and prepare chemotherapy using aseptic techniques.

The final product will be compatible with the Phaseal closed system transfer devices and Optum will attach EAST ORANGE VA s preferred tubing for administration. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. If no responses are received, the government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by September 12, 2024, at 9:00AM ET. Responses shall be submitted via email to Lee.Kern@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted.
