**Additional RFI Questions:** Mechanical MD101 shows (10) VAV's being removed. (6) C Wing VAVs and (4) D Wing VAVs. Are (10) New VAV's going in to replace these? The Air Terminal Unit Schedule on M-101 only shows (3) VAVs and do not show locations being installed. Will (3) New VAVs be going in or (10)?

**Answer:** MD101-General Notes, 2 states: CONTRACTOR TO REPLACE VAV UNITS INDICATED ON PLAN WITH DIGITAL CONTROL VAV UNITS. SEE M-101 FOR MORE INFORMATION. M101-General Notes state:

**Note 1:** CONTRACTOR TO SUPPLY AND INSTALL DIGITAL CONTROL VAV UNITS. SEE MD101 FOR LOCTIONS. SEE AIR TERMINAL UNITS SCHEDULE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

**Note 2:** REPLACE VAV UNITS AND BELIMO VALVES AS INDICATED. SEE AC101 FOR CEILING COORDINATION PLAN. Yes, all 10 old VAV s are being removed and the 10 new VAV s are going in the same location. Sheet MD101calls out the Unit number that corresponds to the Air Terminal Unit in the chart. M-101 Shows approximately (38) New RGDs being installed. Will the new RGDs be "like for like" size replacements of the existing diffusers in the space?

Reference MD101 for the existing RGD s. Existing supply diffusers are linear, new will be 24x24. Existing return diffusers are 24x24, new will be 24x24. What make and model are the specified replacement RGDs? The VA has been very specific on some of their jobs requiring replacement RGDs. No, we do not have a specific make and model. What is the intent for the BMS / Control System running the VAVs? Will this be tied into the BMS serving Ward 9C?

Contractor to remove and replace VAV s and control valves only, VA Electric and HVAC shop s will be performing the control wiring and programming. Wall Construction Can you confirm what material these walls are cmu, gypsum, plaster? The walls are the original plaster/CMU walls to the hospital.
