These controls are responsible for the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for the radiology department. Due to the catastrophic failure of the components in place, there is currently zero control for each rooms HVAC system throughout that department. Installation shall be completed by VA staff. New controls shall integrate with the existing building management system, utilizing the existing power, enclosures, and network cables. The Contractor shall also be responsible for all materials delivered and work performed until completion and acceptance of the entire work, except for any completed unit of work which may have been accepted under the contract. Siemens Industry, Inc. will be awarded this procurement because they are the only vendor capable of providing the needed service because the failed Delta controls components are components of the building management system which is a Siemens built system. The management system is proprietary to Siemens and no other companies are authorized to service this system. Only technicians employed by Siemens are authorized to service the system because of the knowledge and expertise they possess due to specialized training. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238220 with small business size standard of $16.5 Million. This notice of intent is not a solicitation nor is it a request for proposal. However, interested parties that believe they can satisfy the requirement listed above must clearly identify their capability to do so in writing by December 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST time.
