Special Notice Page 3 of 3 This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is not a solicitation. The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with: Thomas Scientific, LLC 1654 High Hill RD Swedesboro, NJ 08085-1780 UEI: CN1DHDM1HDZ5 This is not a request for quotes.

The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Thomas Scientific, LLC, to deliver AlteCap Swift Automated Decapper System and provide on-site installation to VA Boston Healthcare System, Jamaica Plain Campus. The vendor, a SB, is the U.S. authorized distributor for OEM, AltemisLab s full line of products. This will replace existing laboratory equipment due to current models reaching their operational lifespan and no longer being manufactured.

This decapper system supports the existing labware of the laboratory. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Contracting Opportunities on SAM.gov. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS is 334516. The size standard is 1,000 employees.
