Special Notice Page 3 of 3 This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is not a solicitation. The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with: TECAN U.S., INC. 9401 GLOBE CENTER DR STE 140 MORRISVILLE, NC 27560 UEI: EMSJF133EBY9 This is not a request for quotes. The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to procure a replacement part, TubeEyeX, with installation and integration services, for existing laboratory equipment at VA Boston Healthcare System, Jamaica Plain Campus.

The contractor will provide the required part, TubeEyeX, an imaging system for automated blood fractionation, for the repair of Tecan Freedom EVO 200, installation and integration services, and applications support. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Contracting Opportunities on SAM.gov. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
