## Description

Notice of Intent to Single Source The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefits Administration has a requirement to purchase a maintenance service contract for Annual Preventive Maintenance/Emergency and Other Unscheduled Repairs as needed to support the Astrophysics Security X-Ray Inspection System (Model 6545, Serial # ASTNC160SS2274).

The intent is to award a single purchase order award under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106(b)(1) to Astrophysics Inc. 21481 Ferrero Pkwy, City of Industry, CA 91789 with an anticipated one-year base with four (4) 12-month option periods. Astrophysics Inc. is the exclusive developer and manufacturer and sole supplier and warranty service provider of the XIS line of X-ray inspection systems in the United States.

Due to the proprietary components of the XIS, only Astrophysics certified service technicians can install and provide warranty services for these systems using certified products, accessories and software.
