## Description

The Air Force Test Center (AFTC) at Edwards Air Force Base is executing a short-term bridge contract extension with EMC Corporation (135 Technology Drive, Irvine, CA, 92618) for continued support of the CHEETAS 3.X system. This system provides essential capabilities for both flight line operations and instrumentation laboratory work, impacting a range of critical Air Force missions.

Because EMC Corporation possesses unique expertise and proprietary knowledge related to CHEETAS 3.X, they are the sole responsible source capable of providing the necessary engineering services and specialized supplies for its ongoing operation and maintenance. This extension, justified under 10 USC 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(b), is a critical measure to prevent any disruption in these mission-essential services.

A lapse in CHEETAS 3.X support could negatively impact testing schedules, research and development efforts, and ultimately, the Air Force's ability to maintain operational readiness. This bridge contract, a continuation of the existing agreement (FA930419D0001), covers the design, build, test, and maintenance of core CHEETAS 3.X functionalities and provides the AFTC with the necessary time to finalize a comprehensive, follow-on sole-source contract with EMC.

This deliberate approach ensures uninterrupted support for critical Air Force missions while adhering to stringent acquisition regulations. The anticipated period of performance for this bridge contract is from August 11, 2025, to February 10, 2026. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this acquisition is 541512 (Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing), which carries a size standard of $34,000,000.

No additional information, formal Request for Proposal (RFP), or solicitation is available at this time concerning the follow-on contract. Interested parties should monitor official contracting channels for future updates. Questions should be addressed via email to:

**Contracting Specialist Kimberly Jaime (AFTC/PZZF), E-mail:** kimberly.jaime@us.af.mil or Contracting Officer Susana Dryer (AFTC/PZZF), Email: susana.dryer@us.af.mil.
