## Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Peace Corps, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Acquisition and Contract Management, on behalf of Peace Corps Cameroon, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order to Illuminaid, 645 Mangrove Ave, Chico, California 95926-3946 for malaria support training to produce training materials.

The purpose of this contract is to leverage the use of video technology to encourage behavior change communication targeting the current barriers to reducing malaria morbidity and mortality rates in Cameroon.

Through a four-day hands on training of trainers designed to teach beginners how to create, edit, and disseminate video, Peace Corps staff and volunteers, community health work Peace Corps Volunteer Counterparts, National Malaria Control Program staff, and USAID implementing partners, will learn how to create effective behavior change messages in a variety of local languages using specialized video and mobile projector kits.

The Government intends to procure this requirement under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) – Contracting Officers may solicit one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES nor a solicitation of offers.

However, the Government will consider written responses from all responsible sources by noon Washington DC local time March 4, 2024. Written responses must include sufficient information to establish capability to fulfill the requirement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of future market research requirements. No formal solicitation package is available. The Government will not be responsible for any costs of preparation in response to this announcement. Any quotation/response should be e-mailed to the Contracting Officer at mcoleman@peacecorps.gov
