## Description

Notice of intent to Award Sole-Source – to Werfen USA, LLC., lease of automated Blood Bank Systems that include equipment, service, maintenance, consumables, and disposables at Martin Army Community Hospital (MACH), Fort Benning.

The Fort Hood Health Contracting Branch, Medical Readiness Contracting Office - West, MEDCOM, Fort Hood, Texas intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price, sole source contract to Werfen USA, LLC., an other than small business, under authority of Title 41 U.S.C. §1901(e)(2) as implemented in FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items.

Market Research results indicate that there is only one (1) vendor who can fully satisfy this requirement. Werfen USA, LLC, is the only vendor that can fully support the Martin Army Community Hospital (MACH), Fort Benning. Lease of automated Blood Bank Systems that include equipment, service, maintenance, consumables, and disposables to meet the high volumes of test per hour. Period of Performance will start on 1 October 2025. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes.

No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for Werfen USA, LLC. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available. The Fort Hood Health Contracting Branch, Medical Readiness Contracting Office - West intends to make a sole source award to Werfen USA, LLC. 180 Hartwell Road, Bedford, MA 01730 .
