The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), requires Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMS) Configured Portable Barcode Scanners, and the only approved device and configuration to work with the DHS SAMS is the Honeywell CN80G that is configured specifically for Sunflower software. This product is produced by only one manufacturer (Honeywell) and is only available from CGI Federal, Inc. (CGI Federal) who is the sole provider of Sunflower-configured barcode readers and services. SAMS configured barcode scanners must be used for this requirement because SAMS is the only asset management application approved and used by DHS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be posted as a result of this notice. This special notice is issued for informational purposes only.
