A solicitation document will not be issued, and quotations will not be requested. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Purchasing and Contracts on behalf of the Critical Care Medicine Department (CCMD) intends to award a fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Surgi-Tron of Maryland, Inc. 9504 Huntmaster RD Gaithersburg, Maryland 20882-1330 for a twelve (12) month base year, and four (4) option years. The Critical Care Medicine Department (CCMD) has a requirement for a Preventative Maintenance Service Contract for Olympus Flexible Scopes, Series 190, 180 and 160. The items are critical for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in the Critical Care Medicine Department (CCMD). The unavailability of the equipment can significantly impact patient care and medical procedures. Surgi-Tron of Maryland Inc. is a sole source vendor that can offer door-to-door service, which eliminates the risk of shipping discrepancies that may result in losing the equipment. Surgi-Tron of Maryland, Inc. provides daily pick-up and drop-off for the Olympus Flexible Scopes. This service eliminates shipping costs and prevents delays caused by incorrect addresses or other shipping issues. Items are promptly sent and received, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care and other operations. There are no other known vendors who can offer both an expedited preventive maintenance service contract as well as on-call service.
