This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes. Navajo Area Indian Health Service, Crownpoint Service Unit Pharmacy Department intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(ii), specific characteristics of the Pyxis system that limit the availability to a sole source is that CAREFUSION is the sole vendor for the Pyxis cabinet system. Pyxis is dependent on our local network infrastructure as well as RPMS/EHR to transmit prescriptions and admission/discharge/transfer data. The Pyxis cabinet system is already installed at Crownpoint Pharmacy Department which includes exclusive licensing agreements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 339112- Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. The objective of this sole source award to CAREFUSION SOLUTIONS is for the rental of automated drug distribution cabinet with full support for Crownpoint Healthcare Facility Pharmacy Department. This notice of intent does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
