KBA Proprietary Above spare part is manufactured and is proprietary to Koenig & Bauer (K&B). There are no other sources that are capable of supplying the required OEM spare parts other than K&B. BEP does not possess the required capabilities in terms of labor, machinery or materials to produce these items. Therefore, the Government has determined that this procurement can only be acquired from the OEM contractor, K&B. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to sole-source this requirement and award to K&B. The applicable North American Classification Code (NAICS) is 333248, All Other Industrial Machinery Manufacturing. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. If you feel your firm can provide the spare part mentioned above, please submit a capability statement by 4:00PM EDT, 29 July 2024. The decision not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
