## Description

This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the Federal AcquisitionRegulation (FAR) 5.2 – Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions. The Library of Congress, Contract and Grant Directorate, intends to award a sole-source contract to, Digital Transitions Inc., 35 W 35th St., Rm 1001, New York, NY 10001-2205. The estimated period of performance is from one (1) from the time of award.

The Contractor shall provide additional essential digitization hardware and software systems to continue the Library’s digitization work on items that are digitized in specialized facilities in the Library. The contractor will provide the components configured as detailed in the Justification and Approval document attached to this notification.

The system listed here includes the software the provides required features and an enclosure specifically designed and engineered to support digitization activities, by creating the appropriate physical environment for digitization to occur in, based on requirements found in the FADGI Still Image Guidelines.

Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice.

Responses to this notice should demonstrate evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission of the Library of Congress. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition.
