## Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT The United States Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration, Sierra Nevada Region (SNR) intends to acquire on a Sole Source basis a 12k Bentley Sno-Cat Transport Trailer, NAICS 336999 - from Tucker Sno-Cat under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 USC 253(c) (1). Tucker Sno-Cat owns the proprietary design of the required transport trailer that cannot be acquired from other sources.

The resulting procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13 and will be a firm-fixed-price contract. This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for quotes or proposals. No solicitation package will be publicly issued.

Responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation no later than 5:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time fifteen (15) calendar days after the date of publication of this notice, unless the 15th day falls on a weekend or holiday, then it will be the next business day following the weekend or the holiday. All documentation submitted in a timely manner will be considered by WAPA. All documentation must be sent to Ms. Hillary Cooper, Contract Specialist, via e-mail at hrcooper@wapa.gov.

Responses to this notice should include clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. WAPA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this Notice of Intent. This notice in no way obligates the Government to award a contract.
