## Description

The U.S. Embassy in Bern, Switzerland invites qualified vendors to participate in a solicitation for temporary residential furniture rental and welcome kit services for government‑leased residences in Bern and the surrounding areas.

The selected contractor will provide a full range of services, including the delivery, installation, maintenance, and removal of residential furniture, as well as the provision of welcome kit packages for incoming U.S. Government personnel. All furnishings must be new or in excellent condition, and all mattresses must be new. The contractor must be able to respond quickly to requests, manage multiple simultaneous orders, and comply with all applicable local safety, labor, and insurance regulations. Prior experience supporting diplomatic missions or corporate housing providers is highly desirable.

Interested vendors must be duly licensed to operate in Switzerland and demonstrate proven experience in residential furniture rental and logistics. The ability to provide comprehensive, end‑to‑end support (delivery, installation, maintenance, and removal) is essential.

Vendors interested in this opportunity are invited to submit their proposals electronically to BernGSOContracting@state.gov. Complete offers must be submitted no later than 22 September 2026, 17:00 local time (Central European Time).

Only technically acceptable offers will be considered for price evaluation. The contract may be awarded to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offer. The Embassy reserves the right to request clarifications or additional information during the evaluation process.
