Enclosed is a Request for Quotations (RFQ). If you would like to submit quotation, follow the instructions in Section 3 of the solicitation, complete the required portions of the attached document, and submit it to the address shown on the Standard Form 1449 that follows this letter. The U.S. Government intends to award a contract/purchase order to the responsible company submitting an acceptable offer at the lowest price. We intend to award a contract/purchase order based on initial quotations, without holding discussions, although we may hold discussions with companies in the competitive range if there is a need to do so. The Embassy intends to conduct a pre-quotation site visit. The pre-quotation site visit will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 10:00 hours (all times listed are in Saudi Arabia time) at the Official Residence of the U.S. Embassy Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Prospective offerors should send email to RiyadhContracing@state.gov on or before close-of-business (17:00 hours), Sunday, February 18, 2024, for additional information or to arrange entry to the building. For more information on the site visit, please read the solicitation at Section 3, Provisions Incorporated by Reference. Quotations are due by Thursday, March 07, 2024 (no quotations will be accepted after this time). Quotation must be in English and incomplete quotation will not be accepted. Your quotation must be submitted electronically to RiyadhContracting@state.gov. The subject line of all emails must, at a minimum, read: “Request for Quotations – 19SA7024Q0011”. It is important to make sure the submission is made in specific size and format such as MS-Word 2007/2010, MS-Excel 2007/2010 or Adobe Acrobat (pdf file). In addition, file sizes must not exceed 30MB. If the file size should exceed 30MB, then please submit separate emails which are less than 30MB each. Q2: General specification on page 10 states to provide 10mm thick heavy duty rubber insulators to be attached to the steel plates for all the steel structures which are in contact with the pool. Such rubber insulators will increase the thickness below the top cover plate which will rest on the perimeter wall of the pool causing trip hazard. Kindly confirm if these rubber insulators are mandatory requirement? A2: Yes. Q3: General specification on page 09 states that the top cover must be checkered plate aluminum with minimum thickness of 5mm powder coated with the same color of the floor surrounding the pool. But during site visit, we understood that the entire assembly of supporting structure and top cover must be stainless steel. Kindly confirm. A3: The top cover may be constructed from either aluminum or stainless steel with a minimum thickness of 5mm powder coated.
