## Description

On July 4, 2026, the United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The White House Task Force on Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday (“Task Force 250”) has planned a year-long commemoration beginning Memorial Day 2025 through the end of 2026. This milestone aims to inspire a renewed interest in and appreciation for American history, culture, natural beauty and our spirit of innovation and adventure.

The U.S. Embassy in Guatemala City, under the guidance of the U.S. Department of State, will amplify these efforts in Guatemala by showcasing American excellence, sharing our nation’s rich history, and highlighting U.S. diplomacy’s role in securing peace through strength.
