## Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) mission is to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to provide leadership and criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners. The FBI performs these responsibilities in a manner that is responsive to the needs of the public and is faithful to the Constitution of the United States.

The Critical Incident Response Group (CIRG), Behavioral Analysis Units (BAUs), have a continuing requirement to assist federal, state, local and foreign law enforcement agencies in matters involving child abductions, mysterious disappearances of children, child homicides, and other child victimization investigations.

As such, the BAUs have a need for a trained medical examiner to provide Clinical Pathology services by conducting on-site case consultations, telephone conference calls, and consultations with investigators at the BAUs on all aspects of child and adult death investigations.
