THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 15 DAYS PRIOR TO POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation 15BFA024B00000023 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Emergency Electrical Repairs at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Englewood, located in Littleton, Colorado. FCI Englewood is a federally owned facility located at 9595 W. Quincy Ave, Littleton, CO 80123. The project consists of the following: FCI Englewood is seeking to hire a contractor to remove and replace the existing vacuum interrupters in the current switch gear located in the Outside Powerhouse. The existing vacuum interrupters are currently installed in model GE/POWER VAC, VB1 13.8-750-3 breakers. A total of twelve (12) breakers shall require all new vacuum interrupters. The new vacuum interrupters shall be model RVl-41A2 bottles or approved equals. Complete breaker replacement isn't required, only replacement of the vacuum interrupters and approved breaker refurbishment shall be completed. A maximum of eight (8) breakers shall be completed at one time in order to limit the amount of down time and interruptions to facility operations. Contractor shall replace the secondary terminal blocks for Feeder Breaker 3A, 4A and 1B. Contractor is required to attend a pre-work meeting in order to coordinate and plan with the on-site staff prior to the day of work. All work shall comply with local, state, and federal regulations. See the Statement of Work/Specifications attachment included with the solicitation posting (to be issued at a later date as described herein) for the complete requirements of the work. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) The solicitation will be available approximately September 6, 2024. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the Contract Opportunity website at https://sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The website provides download instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments, will also be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for continuously monitoring this website to ensure that they have the most recent information about this proposed contract action. Access to the specifications and drawings attachments will require an active https://sam.gov vendor registration (log in) AND may require a specific role or domain linked to your registration. If you encounter problems requesting access to these documents, please contact the Federal Service Desk at 866-606-8220. IMPORTANT: Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://sam.gov. If you have questions about SAM, Government procurements in general, or need assistance in the preparation of your bid/proposal/offer, a local Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) may be able to help. The Procurement Technical Assistance Program was authorized by Congress in 1985 in an effort to expand the number of businesses capable of participating in the Government marketplace. To locate a PTAC near you, go to http://www.aptac-us.org. This is a 100 percent small business set-aside. In order to qualify for award, your business size metrics information entered in your SAM registration must be less than or equal to the size standard specified above (see provision 52.219-1 in the Representations & Certifications section of your registration and view the table therein listing NAICS codes and your indicated business size relative to the assigned NAICS code above). Each bidder's SAM registration will be reviewed by the Government to confirm that your business size meets the small business size standard requirement. All bidders are urged to double check their SAM registration and update as necessary, including the size metrics information. This synopsis is intended only for those who would be entering into a Prime contract with the FBOP for the entirety of this project. The FBOP does not award subcontracts. Subcontracts (if applicable/necessary) are the responsibility of the Prime contractor. The FBOP has no privity of the contract with subcontractors.","origin":"extract"},"notice_type":{"code":"p","label":"Presolicitation"},"schema_version":1,"solicitation_number":"15BFA024B00000023","place_of_performance":{"zip":"80123","city":{"name":"Littleton"},"state":{"code":"CO"},"country":{"code":"USA"}},"product_service_code":"Z2FF"},{"dates":{"posted":"2024-09-06","response_deadline":{"raw":"2024-10-16T12:30:00-05:00","utc":"2024-10-16T17:30:00Z","date":"2024-10-16","time":"12:30:00","utc_offset_seconds":-18000}},"links":{"sam":"https://sam.gov/workspace/contract/opp/567aa5bff7c14564880d4962fb26b87b/view"},"naics":{"codes":["238210"],"primary":"238210"},"title":"FCI Englewood - Emergency Electrical Repairs","agency":{"office":{"code":"15BFA0","name":"FAO"},"subtier":{"code":"1540","name":"FEDERAL PRISON SYSTEM / BUREAU OF PRISONS"},"department":{"code":"015","name":"JUSTICE, DEPARTMENT OF"},"office_address":{"zip":"75051","city":"GRAND PRAIRIE","state":"TX","country":"USA"},"organization_type":"OFFICE"},"status":{"active":false,"archive_date":"2024-10-31","archive_type":"auto15"},"contacts":[{"name":"Trisha Holm","role":"primary","email":"tmanderson@bop.gov","phone":"2025986052"}],"base_type":{"code":"p","label":"Presolicitation"},"notice_id":"567aa5bff7c14564880d4962fb26b87b","set_aside":{"code":"SBA","label":"Total Small Business Set-Aside (FAR 19.5)"},"provenance":{"extract":{"url":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/falextracts/Contract%20Opportunities/Archived%20Data/FY2024_archived_opportunities.csv","etag":"\"d582488fe153a9f11bf629913d176ffc-137\"","fetched_at":"2026-09-16T19:07:39.720164Z","row_sha256":"16deb874f828aeec606886eaeb59a9fcabae4ce63d5bc635aacef47ff6204a95","last_modified":"2026-09-13T14:47:40Z"},"updated_at":"2026-09-16T19:07:39.720164Z","first_seen_at":"2026-09-16T19:07:39.720164Z"},"description":{"text":"The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) herein issues solicitation 15BFA024B00000023 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Emergency Electrical Repairs at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Englewood, located in Littleton, Colorado.
