The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 541620, Environmental Consulting Services, with a business size standard of $19 million. Sole Source Justification The purpose of this task is to assist NOAA and other partners in convening a conference on applications of geospatial technology for coastal management. The contractor, the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM), has extensive knowledge of the NOAA Office for Coastal Management’s primary conservation audience, coastal resource managers, and will be convening coastal resource managers across the nation at the Coastal Geo Tools 2027 conference. They have the ability to get the Office’s products and services into the hands of these coastal resource managers to be used for conservation with geospatial technology applications. This contractor is the one hosting and holding this conference therefore we cannot work with any other vendor. Additionally, with ASFPM hosting this conference, they have thorough knowledge and experience with successfully conducting this conference as they exhibited in previous years all with receiving glowing comments. This contractor has been holding and hosting this event since 2015. Special Notice This special notice is not a solicitation for competitive quotes, nor will one be posted on Contract Opportunities. However, if an interested party believes that it is capable of meeting the requirements and is in compliance with the above justification, they may submit substantiating documentation in writing within the open period of this notice.
