The existing inadequate internet and telecommunications infrastructure to and within the Scotty’s Castle complex was damaged and largely destroyed in the October 2015 flood. This project restores and updates internet access, voice communication, and alarm notifications to the Scotty’s Castle complex which is vital for systems including telephone, internet, radio, security and fire alarm systems. The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 238210 with a size standard of $19 million. This acquisition will be handled as an IFB prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 14 and 36. This project will be solicitated as a total Small Business Set-Aside. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. The project magnitude is estimated between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Place of performance will be at Scotty’s Castle withing Death Valley National Park, Inyo County, California.
