(ii) The National Park service is issuing this request for quote (RFQ) 140P6024Q0023, for the performance of trimming and removal of trees, for Nicodemus National Historic Site (NICO). Work will be located on the grounds of the Township Hall and Roadside Park Properties, 304 Washington Avenue Nicodemus KS 67625, in accordance with the provided Statement of Work (SOW). Note: Bogue Kansas and Nicodemus Kansas share the same zip code and similar street names. This work is in Nicodemus KS. All responsive sources may submit a quote that shall be considered by the agency. The Solicitation Number is 140P6024Q0023 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under Part 13 Simplified Acquisitions. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2024-24. The FAC is available at https://www.acquisition.gov/FAR. (iv) This requirement has been set aside for a Total Small Business set aside competition in accordance with FAR 52.219-6 - Notice of Set-Aside for, or Sole Source Award to, Total Small Business set aside. Concerns Eligible Under the Total Small Business set aside, under NAICS Code 561730 -Landscaping Services Contractors with a small business size standard of $9.5M. (v) Line items: 10- TREE THINNING SERVICES (vi) The acquisition is for the performance of trimming and removal of trees, for Nicodemus National Historic Site (NICO). The work will be accomplished through contract and will consist of the components discussed in the statement of work. Product and services offered to the Government under this purchase shall meet or exceed the following in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (SOW). Interested Parties shall submit quotes to Dorinda Clark via email at dorinda_clark@nps.gov. (vii) Date(s) and place(s) of delivery and acceptance and FOB point: Period of Performance: 7/1/2024 - 7/21/2024 Location: Nicodemus National Historic Site (NICO). Yes, stump is to be removed as the nesting hole is empty per NPS Biologist. 2. In roadside park area - do we trim cedars as well as indigenous tree to be part of work? Indigenous trees only are a part of this scope. 3. There are six trees with significant amount of dead branch and limbs in the roadside park are they to be removed as in Treatment #1? Yes, they are to be removed. 4. Waste removal - is there a nearby recycling center for our use? Graham County does compost tree and lawn materials. Where is that located? South of Hill City KS approximately 25 to 30 miles from Nicodemus. 5. Can we provide the wood to a farmer for firewood as recycled? Yes, that is reuse of material, the point is the have the waste removed from the townsite, while adhering to laws and regulations on
