## Description

VARIOUS FUEL TREATMENTS The objective of this treatment is to reduce Pinyon and Juniper growth. This reduction lowers fire intensity and helps restore and maintain sagebrush areas critical for sage grouse, mule deer, elk, and other sagebrush obligate species.

This will be accomplished by implementing lop & scatter for 6,065 acres at East McCook area, 5,475 acres at the Stone Cabin area, 968 acres at the Red Hills area by mechanically cutting with chainsaw standing live and dead pinyon and juniper trees from units that were treated previously along with a slashing treatment on 3,511 acres at the West Blue Mountain area. Period of performance: Date of award through 11/30/2023 (weather permitting).
