The information resulting from this market research is simply for planning purposes to assist the Government in determining its acquisition strategy. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred in the preparation of information for responding to this notice. Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) and the procedures at FAR Part 12 entitled, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 entitled, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. AIRIE LLC is, to the USGS¿ knowledge, the only source who can perform with the technique that requires solution chemistry followed by double spiking and analyses via negative TIMS. In addition, AIRIE is the only lab currently capable of completing the current proposed work that meets the data consistency requirement as AIRIE previously performed similar analytical service. The purpose of this notice is to satisfy the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.101(a)(2) and FAR 5.2. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes.
