Note that the specific requirements are subject to change prior to the release of any solicitation. The USGS Columbia Environmental Research Center (CERC) in Columbia, MO requires 101 dual-technology acoustic and radio tags for an ongoing, telemetry study for various species of fish. These tags will be implanted into various fish species sampled around a dam that is to be removed in the Cuyahoga River, a tributary of Lake Erie. The tags must be compatible with the existing network of Innovasea acoustic receivers. The following salient characteristics are required: - Dual-technology combined acoustic/radio transmitters in a single tag - Compatible with existing network of Innovasea acoustic receivers as well as Lotek radio receivers. - real time sensor data (temperature, pressure/depth, bi-modal motion) transmission The only known company that manufactures a dual technology acoustic and radio tag is Lotek.
